If you have a sweet tooth and find yourself in Austria or Southern Germany at some point you have to try Kaiserschmarrn! Straight from the words of Wikipedia: Kaiserschmarren is a light, caramelized pancake made from a sweet batter using flour, eggs, sugar, salt, and milk, baked in butter. Most commonly served with caramelized raisins, nuts, cherries, or plums. The pancake is split while frying and served covered in powdered sugar with an apple or plum sauce.

Even if you don’t make it down south you can always prepare this traditional treat at home and impress your German neighbors! A great recipe can be found over at Allrecipies.com.
