Grossglockner High Alpine Rd
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the highest paved mountain pass in Austria. It is also aptly named for the major landmark it passes, the Grossglockner. At 3789 meters, the Grossglockner is the tallest mountain in Austria and possibly one of the most impressive due to its prominence of 7949 feet. The high alpine road connects the town of Bruck to the north with the village of Heiligenblut which is an amazing little Austrian getaway all of its own.
