4 German Meals You Have to Try

Jägerschnitzel

Well here we are, the old classic. If you haven’t had one of these then you haven’t been to Germany. This dish as well as its more basic cousin can be found everywhere. I think even German McDonalds offer up a schnitzel variation now and again. Jägerschnitzel or “hunters schnitzel” was traditionally made from strips of venison or wild pig. Today it most often means you will be getting a normal schnitzel covered in a typical sauce of cream and mushrooms. Traditional Jägerschnitzel was not breaded though it is common to see breaded variations in restaurants today.

Have you tried all of these? Maybe you can suggest another great meal to try. Let us know in the comments below. We would love to see you try these at home and share your results with us!
