I love how close you can get to the animals in so many European zoos! Berlin’s zoo did not disappoint either. We left our zoo trip for our final day in Berlin. It was a perfectly sunny day and the kids were very excited to get to roam free and see all the animals. The zoo has some great feeding encounters throughout the day, but a tip is to head there in the afternoon rather than the morning. Many more feeding sessions are scheduled for times after 1pm than before. If you really want to see the animals awake and excited visit then. Make sure you leave time for the amazing playground right in the zoo center too. My kids went crazy over it and when you see it you’ll know why…a huge pirate ship, towers with ropes to climb, little trampolines, swings, it’s like Peter Pan’s Lost World!
