The Best Coffee Shops in Kaiserslautern

It’s easy to get your caffeine fix in Germany. Basically every bakery, gas station, or McDonald’s will carry some form of coffee or espresso. But finding a quality cup is a little bit harder. Luckily, downtown Kaiserslautern is a mecca for coffee connoisseurs. Some of the brews and sips at these locations will have you feeling like you are in likes of Seattle or San Francisco. Here are the five best coffee shops in Kaiserslautern

Die Bohne

DieBohne

Die Bohne is a true neighborhood coffee shop, offering some of the best beans around. While they have a quiet shaded area outside in the back, inside the store there is a couch setup that the Friends-cast would be jealous of. It’s perfect for catching up with friends over a cup of exquisite coffee. Die Bohne offers several different roasts, primarily from Italy, and also serves espresso-based coffee drinks. They even have lactose-free milk for lattes and the like for those with allergies. Most of the time you can find croissants to enjoy with your coffee, but one day a week the owner’s wife brings in one of her homemade cakes. It’s always a surprise when you walk in, but the best –and most delicious — kind.

Die Bohne, Pirmasenser Str. 44a, 67655 Kaiserslautern
